About Me

For author Kathryn Zolman, every story begins with the heart. She writes for young readers, drawing inspiration from the real-life moments that shape us and the connections that help us grow.

A lifelong dog lover, Kathryn's journey into publishing began with the touching story behind a dog's unique name. She wrote her debut picture book, Are You a Pineapple?, to celebrate the joyful bond between children and their pets.

Her forthcoming middle-grade novel explores themes of grief, friendship, forgiveness, and resilience. Inspired by a deeply personal loss, the story reflects her belief in the power of storytelling to foster empathy, encourage meaningful conversations, and help readers navigate life's most difficult moments.

Whether she's writing about the goofy charm of a beloved dog or the strength of friendship in the face of adversity, Kathryn's goal remains the same: to create stories that spark connection, build empathy, and leave readers with a little more hope than they started with.

She lives in Warsaw, Indiana, with her family.
